Éliane focuses her bilingual practice on personal injury claims, including motor vehicle collisions, slip and fall claims and fatality claims. Éliane attended the University of Ottawa, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences in 2001 and her law degree in 2003. She articled with Doucet McBride LLP in 2004-05 and joined the firm as an associate in 2005. A proud member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, Éliane authored an article on the Parental Responsibility Act and Retainer Agreements for the Association’s publication The Litigator. She also was a speaker at a conference presented by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Éliane enjoys running, downhill skiing and playing Ultimate. Natalie Viau

While obtaining her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Ottawa, Natalie was actively involved in various associations, including the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, Pro Bono Students Canada, the Canadian Lawyers’ Association for International Human Rights and the Faculty of Law Peer Advisor Program. She graduated in 2007.
Natalie articled at Doucet McBride LLP in 2007-2008 and joined the firm as an associate following her call to the Bar of Ontario in June 2008. Her practice is focused on personal injury law, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, disability insurance claims and physical assault claims. Natalie has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

She is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of French Speaking Jurists of Ontario. Natalie practises in both official languages.

Natalie enjoys yoga and spending time with her new husband.

Megan obtained her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Ottawa in 2005 and her law degree from Queen’s University in 2008.  She was called to the bar in 2009 and joined Doucet McBride in November 2009 after articling and practicing with another Ottawa litigation firm.

Megan practices in the area of civil litigation with a focus on personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, fire losses and insurance-related issues.  She is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.

In her spare time, Megan performs as a pianist at weddings and is a member of her local condominium board.

Phyllis has more than 20 years of experience in the area of accident benefits and currently provides consulting services on a part-time basis to Burn Tucker, assisting lawyers, clerks and clients with all aspects of accident benefits claims.

Phyllis obtained her Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional designation through the Insurance Institute of Canada. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours Law) from Carleton University and her Masters in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University.

Susan has 25 years’ experience as a law clerk/assistant. She is an experienced personal injury law clerk who works on all types of personal injury claims, including slip and fall claims, motor vehicle collisions and fatality claims. She also mentors junior law clerks in the Personal Injury Group.

A graduate of Algonquin College, Susan joined Doucet McBride LLP in 1997.

Susan is a member of the Law Clerk Section of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and has been a frequent speaker Algonquin College’s Law Clerk Career Day.

Susan organizes the Ottawa effort for OTLA Helmets on Kids program, which Burn Tucker has spearheaded since 2008. She enjoys being a Scout leader and has dedicated seven years to working with youth. She has received numerous volunteer awards from her community and local Member of Parliament.

Deborah enjoys working with clients and feels as dedicated providing clients with quality service today as she did when she began her legal career in 1986. She is a member of the Law Clerk section of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.

Deborah organizes the firm’s annual participation in the Canadian Paraplegic Association’s Ontario Wheelchair Relay Challenges and the CIBC Run for the Cure. Deborah’s interests include gardening, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her family.
